Anti-UV Polyethylene Sheet

If an anti-UV additive is added to polyethylene, it becomes resistant to destruction caused by open air and sunlight

Anti-UV Polyethylene Sheet

Most plastics are prone to degradation when exposed to UV rays, such as sunlight or fluorescent lights. Damage occurs during the production process or when using the final product. Some of the signs of destruction of common polyethylene sheets by ultraviolet light include: brittleness, color change and loss of physical properties such as impact strength, tensile strength and color, all of which reduce the lifespan of plastic.

UV stabilizer additives (anti-UVs) are among the polymer additives that are added to combat plastic degradation and significantly increase the lifespan of the final product. UV stabilizers are usually added to the polymer at very low levels, often 0.1 to 0.5%.
