PVDF welding rods

PVDF is a highly non-reactive thermoplastic fluoropolymer produced from the polymerization of vinylidene difluoride. This welding wire has excellent chemical resistance and inherent flame resistance.

Can you weld PVDF?
Certain types of welding machines can also weld PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) and PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride). PVDF is a very rigid plastic that melts at high temperatures, so the extruder must be able to melt the material.

What is PVDF used for?
PVDF is commonly used as insulation on electrical wires due to its combination of flexibility, light weight, low thermal conductivity, high chemical corrosion resistance, and heat resistance. Most of the 30-gauge thin wires used in winding circuit assembly and PCB reconstruction are PVDF insulated.
