1. High hardness, stiffness and strength in thermoplastic
2. Low friction and high abrasion resistance
3. High dimensional stability
4. Service temperature range, from ‐40°C to 100°C
5. In the semi-crystalline state it is white
6. In the amorphous state it is transparent (glass clear)
7. High tracking resistance
8. Physiologically acceptable
9. Resistant to water at room temperature, dilute acids, neutral and acidic salts, alcohol, ethers, oils, fats, aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons.
10. Not resistant to alkalis, superheated steam, phenols, esters, oxidizing acids and chlorinated
11. Resistant to stress cracking
12. Amorphous PET has slightly lower hardness, stiffness and heat resistance than crystalline PET, but has higher toughness.
